Tweak UI removes Start Menu options

I recently installed Tweak UI 1.33 from Microsoft's website. All went well until I right-clicked on my Start button only to find that Open and Explore had been greyed-out. A friend said he had heard of this happening, so I removed Tweak UI from my system using GoBack. Are you aware of this problem? Is there a fix to restore the Start button options, because I would like to use Tweak UI?

This was a known problem with the previous version of Tweak UI and so we're surprised it hasn't been fixed. In fact it may not be Tweak UI that causes the problem, but Windows itself not liking one of the changes it made. When you removed Tweak UI using GoBack at the same time you probably reversed the change that caused the problem.

The trouble seems to be associated with using the option on the My Computer tab to hide some of your drives. Therefore, we think it is safe to use Tweak UI and retain use of the Open and Explore Start button options as long as you resist the temptation to hide any drives using the My Computer tab.
